Hi, I have a 1yr. 4mo. S.I. electus (his name is Bill Jr.) and I think he is going through his first major molt. It started the end of last week. He won't let Bill Sr. near him, only me. Yesterday he sat on my lap and pulled his bigger colored out while he was on my knee, some little grey ones too. His chest is most all grey and feels like down feathers. Bill Sr. is bringing him to the vet on Thursday morning to have him checked. Is this molting or could it be more? I read some of the other responses to the questions on molting and now I am afraid this might be feather plucking. Any words of wisdom will be much appreciated. Thanks. Janice
