She displayed the same behaviour, and my mother (who is pretty experienced with bird handleling, actually gave up on the female because she was sick of being bitten.
However, I think if you gave it some more time (two months is not really that long), perhaps you might be able to tame her. My male, who although he has been a jerk lately, was also kind of nasty initially.
I was able to get my guy to really be nice to me. He would clean my teeth, I can clip his wings and tonails, etc.
Also, have you considered placing your bird in a common area of your home? I have found that it really helps with their socialization.
