I just did the same thing. Two story house from a small apartment. I put the cage right in the middle of everything for my conure and he loves it! I had him in my sons bedroom where he was in the apartment....he hated it. Much happier in the middle of everything. I just got an Ekkie and its the same.....wants NO needs to be right there. As far as nighttime......my babies sleep in a cave like thing made out of a beach towel. They love it. Go right into it and pull the towel down if the light bothers them! After I sing a lullably of course!
