Hi Ken. I have owned Lovebirds, but they were not hand-tamed. I know there are many, many people who own and love them. My advice would be to join a Lovebird chat list, read as many articles about them as you can find...these things I would do before buying any species, just to be sure that they have the personality I'm looking for and could blend well with my family and schedule.
