"Yellow Vest"

Meet a "Yellow-vested" male Eclectus! No, this is not a new Eclectus subspecies. It is a male Vosmaeri Eclectus that plucks every feather from his chest on a regular basis. When he does allow the feathers to grow in, they are yellow due to the extensive damage to the feather follicles caused by feather plucking. Otherwise, this is a healthy male Eclectus with an excellent diet and care. It is believed that his plucking is due to hormonal frustration.
